I never really write down bios either--I basically just have snippets of story and am then left scrambling after a while as I try to remember OCs basic info, like whether they had a family, where they originally came from...what they actually look like...lol.

Maybe that's something I should do over break. Def. got enough notebooks to be able to spare one to the task. Though at this point my list of writing related things to do over winter break is now like three pages long because I've been putting stuff off onto it since like the beginning of November.

I haven't forgotten any crucial information yet... I think...
But I'm the same with the list of things I should write down or just draw, I have a bunch of W.I.Ps I'll probably never finish, hahahah.
Most of my newer OCs don't even have names, I should fix that, ahahah.

I have such a hard time coming up with names! I'm paranoid about sticking someone who ends up becoming super important with a terrible name. Some of my oldest and most developed/nuanced OCs are stuck with terrible, awful names I just can't manage to change because they've had them for a decade now.

I'm guilty of 'meaningful' names, myself. Most of my characters either have a pun about their personality, abilities, or background.

Aha, you guys have talked quite a bit while I was gone. Hope y'all are making lots of donuts, then!

Even if you can't afford to pay an artist in cash, there are a lot of game sites where artists will draw for game currency. There are ways to get art, if people are willing enough to put in effort.

One idea for the green folks you've created might be that it's part of their dietary culture. If you get food of a certain color, it might tint your skin a certain way. So maybe those folks are just more susceptible.

I save all my OCs and doodles in case. XD You really never know.

Ahahahah, my problems with names comes up because I don't want a name that's the same as a really famous person so my OC becomes buried but, I also don't want a completely obscure name (especially if it's a foreign one, I don't want the people from there to think I have no idea what I'm doing, hahahah, even if I really don't).

Yeah, that's a good idea! I'll definitely have to consider that once I start making a decent amount of FP.

I do that too. I have like seven or more story ideas. There was one story I started called the Magic Ring. Now I don't like it. Maybe I need a new direction with it. And I just came up with a new version of the Emperor's Nightingale, but instead of Ancient China it takes place in Ancient India. And it features a girl who can sing like a nightingale literately. And a jealous female villain turns her into a real nightingale and the Maharajah has to find her, and save her. Or does he?

So yeah. I need a life.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day for me. Other than sending my daughter off to school, my dad takes my mom to her doctor appointment and while they're gone I will be listening to music and singing loudly along with it. XD It's actually a great stress reliever. And when my parents come home my dad is taking me to get cell phones. He needs a new one desperately and I need one I can make phone calls instead of just texting.

We got my mom her Christmas presents. It cost more than we intended, but if we bought the Murdoch Mysteries series separately over time it would have exceeded the amount than what we spent. So we bought her season 1-10 in one whack. She'll be happy.

I've never heard of the Murdoch Mysteries. But it's a detective-ish sort of show, I'm assuming?

Yep. It takes place in the 30s-40s in Canada? I'm not positive.
