I always need to take iron and vitamin D supplements, they help but it does still seem to weigh on your general mood o':

@Akili and Chrizine: it was a rose scented candle anyway, so I wouldn't have noticed if the petals themselves smelt of anything :mcheh:

@Akili I take Vitamin D year round because it gives such a big impact if you're deficient. Like, if you don't have enough vit D, you can't retain calcium, so no matter how much you eat it makes no difference, and your bones get weaker. Even if you don't feel that at the time, over years it's going to make a huge difference. My levels were so low the doctor was appalled, so I would definitely recommend either getting a blood test to see what your levels are or just taking the supplement.

Yess vitamin D is so important and so is iron! I used to faint and feel really weak at times and now I only need to watch out around my period. I can't go without my iron supplements o;

Yeah, okay, if they scent the candle accordingly it would be hard to tell :D

Mh, maybe I should get all those levels checked at some point...

Aaaah, that is good to know! Okay I'll just start the supplements. Labwork is so expensive here, it is easier just to take the supplements in case you need it, than to find out if you need it.

as far as I know there's nothing wrong with taking supplements when they're technically unneeded, so if you want to take them 'just to be sure' I don't think there's anything wrong with that c:

Doesn't that depend on what kind of supplement it is though? I'm pretty sure there's some that you just don't absorp when you don't need them but others that can in fact be harmful.

Yea, there are plenty that can be dangerous. Like iron in fact by coincidence, too much iron can make you really sick.
But I think Vitamin D is more or less okay. You'd have to take an awful lot to have any ill effects.

I meant the vitamin D yeah o;

idk about iron, but I was thinking that Akili was specifically thinking of trying out the vitamin D supplements
