Mh, that's true... Although they could get drawn too close to the wick from the movement of the wax and then potentially start burning, no? Hm... I kind of want to know now as well! Hopefully someone with experience with these candles will stumble in here ;)

Or we'll inspire someone to actually try burning a candle they already have, but just kept for decoration...
Whoops, I forgot, I have to make a birthday cake that'll be ready in 2 hours, must get that started! I'll be by to talk again as soon as the first part is started!

Haha, maybe :)
Oh, that sounds important! Good luck on the cake turning out how you want it!

Cake turned out really well (first time I've used rice flour instead of oat or wheat with this variety). That took a while though because I had to go get more butter, and then it was time to go leave to take the cake to the birthday party, so I apologize for disappearing so long!

Yes, it was nice to see everyone, and then I had an excuse to leave early so it didn't get too tiring in the end.
I don't tend to be much of a one for parties that are primarily about socializing, but it worked!
How was your day?

I think I remember having one of those candles, and though I didn't notice the petals burning, there was nothing left over at the end, so I guess they either burned or just kind of dissolved under the heat.

I also like to be able to retreat when I've reached my social niceties limit haha
I've been good, work's a bit tiring but that has more to do with winter making it go dark so damn early I think. I miss the sun :'c

Party that you can leave from at a time that feels comfortable to you sounds good :)
I'm glad the cake turned out well with the rice flour! What kind of cake was it?
See, Akili, I knew there must be someone who has tried the candles ;)
jacob, did it smell of the flower?

Hm, if you didn't notice them either way then it sounds like whatever scent they had, burning or not, at least blended well and didn't stand out (or not stand out enough for you to notice)....

Same! Work days are hard; when I go in it's dark, when I leave it's dark. Days I work from home are better because it's easier to take a break when it's still light and go outside. Maybe I should look into a vitamin D supplement. People keep telling me about it, so maybe...
Chrizine, you were right!
It was mohnkuchen, but not one of the flourless varieties. And I only grind half the poppyseeds because I like the texture of the little "pop!" you get when you have whole ones in there.... plus I can't get it light and puffy without a crazy amount of eggs, but that's okay, I like custard so I just use as many as needed.
