I just thought of a way to tie soldier into tree theme for your knuffel
Made me think back to a story my mom told me about when she was younger and still lived in germany
(when she was a teenager and they stole their foster moms car and went to get a christmas tree.... from the black forest.... near the us military base... the german forest patrol people fired at them and it was a really funny story, especially when she mentioned trying to explain the leaves and bullets in the car to the foster mom)

Although my father and my granny often tell scary stories about Russians in the forests around my hometown. They used them for maneuver training or something and nobody was allowed to enter. That must have been hell D:

ummm we spanned alll over england, france, belguim, switzerland and germany. I remember frieburg, koln, straussburg... ummmm *suffers a mild braindead moment* sorry for bad spelling US keyboards dont really allow for the dots and everything (i know what they are called just have no idea how to spell it xD )
Id have to pull up the itenery to remember where exactly lol

Sounds like western Germany. Never been that far in the west
