@Alice: Haha, I'll try but an aspiring writer who barely reads isn't great

I don't know it looks like you're both reading and writing atm so it can't be all that bad. I'm not saying you shouldn't work to improve, just don't be too hard on yourself. it can backfire into discouraging you completely

saw it on goodreads. sounds like a romance with more drama than there should be. am I wrong?

Hah, let me correct you, *trying* to write XD I'm still developing the habit of writing every day or every moment I can. But then stuff in my life happens and I get too emotional to do anything
Thought I'd finish my book during my sickness but nope, was sick, then got my period and then got emotional about stuff xD

But there's not much left to read so hopefully soon

@Mem: are you setting aside a specific time to write? OR just whenever you get the time?
Teen books are the best when you want to be annoyed at how dumb the main female characters are (at least that's my problem with them), but they are really easy to get through.
I need to start my next book sometime this week, but I have now allotted that time for cross stitching since my urge to start it got me. I never got around to starting reading it last week. Maybe since it's an ebook this time I'll go to bed slightly earlier to read since I have no problems reading ebooks in bed.

Both I guess. I get up half an hour earlier to write. Then during and after work I just do whatever I can to schedule in some writing time. I've been updating my weekly writing schedule and I'm figuring out exact hours or exact amount of time I can for sure just sit my ass down and write. Last two weeks were interrupted by personal things though, and because my bf and I will be searching for a place to rent this month might be really tough to write anytime after work.
I think at least 1 hour daily should be doable unless I'll get distracted by life, even 2 hours, but that's beng optimistic. Besides, February is going to be hectic
Hehe, that's why I try to avoid those teen books, I have enough extrapolated drama in my life and I don't need another idiot to be angry wth xD

I find teen books relieving in the sense that they are too dramatic, if you know what I mean. Like Rubie said, there is so much drama going on which could be avoided or which is not that bad as the characters perceive it to be. This also reminds me of the time when I was young and thought everything bad that happened to me is too much to bear and worth crying about and in the end it was a minor thing.
It also shows that teen problems are nothing compared with adult problems. Still it's great to read because the problems are so different :D
And yes Alice, indeed, too much drama about stuff not worth all the drama xD

I finished a book. I keep forgetting what it was even called. The Dark of The Woods I think? It was a book of kid/teen short stories. It was just ok.

@Julez: I guess I'm too adult to read that drama then? XD I don't feel adult though. I do prefer justified drama
