What I am most concerned with is that I improve every time. And I think I do that. There are some when I'm really proud, but two knuffels later, they look like trash to me because I improved so much XD It helps that I tend to spend a long while between knuffels because I'm practising other forms of art in between as well.

Ah I pretty know what you mean.
For myself I started to draw in a so called artist book (DIN A5 with 80 blank pages) and when I take a tour from first to current page it is unbelivable how much I seem to have learned from just watching other pictures and people on television.
It is amazing to see improvement everywhere. Just take the art here on kofk. From older item or knuffel that Firn made to the newest. Such a crazy development in coloring and style it is sooo gorgeous.

Different trends happen over time too. I see recently so much bullet journal art. Well, because I am looking for it XD But because of that a lot of the art has things like straight lines or incorporates the dots in some way. so a new trend emerges haha.
I went and made a new base like I was thinking I might >.> I started to explore the idea and it just kind of happened. I went to bed very late >.> Anyway, I made a first knuffel using that base so I'm waiting to see if it gets approved.
