Online is fine, I have no problem meeting new people and talking to them on Skype. XD However I tried to work for a phone company, and I was always nervous trying to talk to people. I ended up quitting after 2 months, it just wasn't fun for me. XD
My name is Sinnah, and my sister used to call me Nah, and then it ended up turning into Nana, and it stuck with me. I like that name alot better than my actual name.

I get that. XD
Oh, nice! What's your name's origin? Where'd it come from? I think Sinnah's a pretty name, though I can see why you dislike it.

It's a native American name, it was my great great great great grandmother's name, as far as I know it has no meaning. It was a very common name for the tribe she's from.
I dislike it because it's hard to pronounce, and I used to get made fun of alot because of it.
So what types of books do you read? Genres and what not. XD

Aha, that's appropriate for you. I like NA names; I have two side characters who are NA, and their names are Myth [not actually a NA name, but it was one my buddy and I stuck on her via chat] and Genesee. They had a dog named Quidel. :)
How is it pronounced? Yeah, I can see that. Kids will make fun of anything though. I mean, even a simple name like Sarah --I used to call her Triceratops [more of a nickname, but you see where it can go].
Although I'm willing to try other fictional genres, I mainly go for the YA stuff. I read a lot of fantasy, a few Arthurian retellings, some myth-based stories, but I'm also open to slice-of-life. I have a GoodReads [profile] as well as a [book list] if you're curious, and Veetles and I are planning on starting a bookclub together, if you're interested in joining. We'll be reading either "Fablehaven" or "Peter and the Starcatchers" for our first book.
What do you like to read? [Sorry, I was so tired, I can't remember the convo from last night.]

Sin Nah, is how it's pronounced. I used to get called snot, and cinnamon alot. XD
I read older fantasy books mostly. My favorite being the xanth series, redwall, and white gold wielder. I also read alot of manga. I loved Harry Potter, The Hobbit, a series of unfortunate events, Artemis Fowl, and books like that.
Then I'll read books like the magic cup, the Shannara series, and the lion the witch and the wardrobe. XD
The most recent books I've read that have some supernatural but I don't consider fantasy is ask me, and the door, both were amazing.
I also like vampire books. Samantha Moon was great. X,x

@Feather: Cinnamon's cute enough --snot... less so.
Oh, I don't know those, except for Redwall [my cousin used to read it]. Aha, I read a good amount of manga too, and some of HP, the Hobbit [but not the rest of the series], and a bit of the Unfortunate Events.
Ah, good ol' CS Lewis. I still need to find the Narnia series that got dumped in storage. *facepalm*
Do you like Anne Rice, then?
Note: Sorry guys; if you came for the event, I'll try to update later tomorrow. Last weekend became busier than expected, and I didn't actually think it through to make an example beforehand. *facepalm* I did update the semi-weekly topic though, so feel free to stick around and chat until the event's up.
This week's topic is "Names".
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet," is a popularly quoted phrase from Romeo and Juliet, but could the same be said about your characters?
How do you think your name suits your characters, and how do you go about naming them? Do you use a generator or a name site? Do you look up meanings or lean towards certain genres of names? Are there names you dislike --names you'd never use for your OCs?
At what point of character creation do you start deciding on a name for your character?

Most of the books I've named are like 70's - 80's fantasy. XD if you like fantasy look into them. The xanth series, and white gold wielder are definitely my favorites. Redwall, seems kiddish, but there's some awesome battle scenes, and the way they describe food makes me salivate, haha. I haven't read the whole Narnia series, I only own 4 I think? But all of my books are in storage so sadly the only book in my possession right now is Howl's Moving Castle, and that's because I recently bought it at a bookstore. XD
I don't own an oc, I'd like to, but no idea where to start. As for my name on here, I cane up with it when I was making a character for a game probably 12 years ago. I was really into Harry Potter and was making an archer so it fit. The name stuck with me ever sense.
