Well it sounds like you really have your hands full. I can understand how there could be so much going on right now. Very understandable.

Not surprising they'd want to keep his ties to Russia on the DL. Gotta cover that up for sure since not many people are too happy with that place. I do wonder what's going to happen with the trans thing. Sounds like something bad like the whole bathroom bill debacle might end up going on. Knowing that idiot it's not too far fetched.

Well, we'll have to wait for the Supreme Court to weigh in on March 28.

Honestly, the bathroom bills are ridiculous. And they encourage harassment. When I was in high school I was pretty skinny and I wore my hair really short and I only felt comfortable in baggy clothes. The result was I was fairly androgynous looking. I was attacked in public women's restrooms a few times. Nothing big, just people shouting at me to leave and stuff like that. It never bothered me because I knew the people yelling at me were idiots. But these bills legitimize that behavior.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Those bills are never something that should of happened. Considering what this country was always based on but with 45 in office and like no hope of him being thrown out. Things will never be the same again with a future president.

I agree they never should have happened. I dunno...it's really hard to keep my head up right now. The attacks on the press, the rollback of civil rights, the deportation raids, the demonization of protesters...this is what a slide into authoritarianism looks like.

Add to that the fact that our foreign policy is in shambles, the intelligence community has become politicized, countless ethical rules which people assumed were laws but are actually norms have been shattered, and people are fleeing across the border to Canada because they're afraid for their lives.

And today a leaked draft bill revealed the the Republicans want to replace the Affordable Care Act with a tax credit and get rid of the Medicaid expansion. Which is not health insurance.

It's not clear, and it's just a draft. Maybe we can save it if there's enough push back to the draft.

Here's the story about the leaked draft: http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/h ... age-235343

But some Republicans gave anonymous interviews with the Washington Post that paints a drastically different picture than the leaked draft: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national ... 038ae69858

If I had to guess, I'd say that currently the GOP is fighting over which direction to take, and these are the two different plans. It's possible both these stories were planted to test public reaction to the ideas.

But it might be a good time to call your Representatives to let them know where you stand on Medicaid...

God I hope nothing bad happens. Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to keep an eye on it and figure out who represents Ohio and contact them.

Okay, here we go, a new week, a new fresh hell.

We start this week with the nominee for Navy Secretary suddenly withdrawing from consideration because he could not get rid of his financial conflicts of interests and Trump is planning to announce massive budget cuts to federal agencies, including the EPA (which is not surprising but is, if you acknowledge climate change exists and that science isn't a conspiracy theory, tantamount to genocide, because without the EPA humans might not last another 100 years) and the State Department (which I am surprised by).

Deep breaths. Here we go.
