aaand we're back in a heat advisory. tomorrow's gonna be the worst, with 110°F/43°C heat advisory.

Wore the blue top again yesterday! this time with a cami underneath. ended up needing to take the blue top off partway through the day though. heat advisory near 100 yesterday, and Mom and I were shopping up in Council Bluffs for her birthday (Got her some candy that I knew she'd like because she's like Rachel and loves mint chocolate)

Yeah. Hot here too. I thought I'd be safe going for a long walk because of the wind (actually, no, I just didn't think). But I feel a little cooked.

I like mint chocolate. It's one of the few things that makes chocolate yummy. lol

I am SO broke. But other than milk and cereal, I have plenty of food.

...

...

...

I'm short on milk and cereal, I'm gonna starve!

I wonder if a pair of those really high rise underpants would work to help the top be nice and stay comfy for you. Usually that Indian cotton fabric is good for hot days.

the heat index that day was over 40°C. plus I spent part of the day inside a black car with a black interior (Marvin's a good car, but he gets REALLY hot in the summer!), so it wasn't the garment's fault, it was circumstance. Plus I was wearing a black skirt, too. lol

Mint chocolate is one of the best flavors, imo.

I've got soup, I've got bread and sunflower seed butter (PB substitute that I really love), I've got enough money on my SNAP card to get some 'instant' ramen if I really want starchy noodles, I've got rice noodles of different sizes and flavors, I've got the really good ramen that has bone broth (I never use the other seasoning packet, as it's hot pepper based), and I've got eggs. I'm good until the 7th of next month (when my card reloads). I also have oatmeal and stuff to make polenta if I feel up to standing at the stove.

Stumbled on this miniatures maker on Youtube, and she made a Beetlejuice BJD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz_PWf6aZCk

Ohhhh. Yeah, that'd do it. Ouch. I'm glad you didn't wind up heatstruck.

XD I tend to go for sour fruit flavours more. But it's one of the best chocolate flavours. Followed by salted caramel and sunflower seed butter (since I'm allergic to eating peanuts now, it seems).

Sunny butter is nom. Bone broth is nom. Ever had fried oatmeal or polenta?

Wow, for a first try, she did pretty good!

I had plenty of water to drink, so I think that helped a lot.

I have to be in the right mood anymore for sour fruit flavors. and candy in general. but salted caramel is nom. especially with darker chocolate.

SunButter is the brand I get. Haven't tried fried oatmeal or polenta yet.

She works in 1/12th scale primarily... which seems like it'd be a good scale to work in.

Yes, that will help.

Awww, and my guts generally reject fruit on sight most the time now days.

I think I've had SunButter. And the fried is yummy, you can eat it savoury or put pancake syrup and butter on it.

I really liked the end of the second Beetlejuice video, where he got into the Adams' family house. XD

I'll have to keep the fried oatmeal in mind... it's a little too warm during the day to be standing over the stove here....

I feel you, though so far I've been getting away still with cooking rice. This apartment's big enough not to turn into an oven, and the breeze through the window comes from the river, so it's fairly constant.

Mom's down in Texas, visiting the sibling, and her older sister, until the 7th. She had to spend the night at the terminal down in Houston because her flight from there yesterday got cancelled... then today, her flight was delayed. She finally got on her way to Austin earlier today.

And this morning, Calico Jane managed to get out the back door as Dad was letting Maxwell in. Dad managed to get her back inside, but fell in the process, and by some sheer dumb luck, didn't end up hitting his head. His knee, opposite shin, and elbow are scraped up, and he's a bit sore in his back, but it could've been so much worse.

Wouuch. I don't know how I'd have handled a delay like that. Glad she's okay.

Glad your dad's okay too. Bad little fuzzball.
