Well it is technically bread. But yeah it’s just a slightly sweet and soft bun. With a crunchier top that looks like a pineapple.
Traditionally, a slice of butter might be sandwiched inside but sometimes some places would put actually filling inside. Generally tho, it’s just a soft sweet fluffy bun with a slight harder crunchier top.
Didn’t really have dinner today, ate some street food: pistachio egg waffle, frozen yogurt cubes in green tea and strawberry flavors, an uni (sea urchin) hand roll (it’s like sushi but it’s like a seaweed cone of rice and toppings). Later, my sister was making her lunch for the next day so I ate the leftovers: some cooked greens/spinach, okra, inari without rice but instead stuffed with egg and mushrooms lol (inari is traditionally a seasoned fried tofu pouch with sushi rice but I only had the tofu pouch but no rice)
