Mm, looking at the wood and time costs for repairs, I'm still convinced it is cheaper to make new and ditch the old when it wears out.
Which actually bothers me, mechanics-wise and because it's about the opposite of thrifty.

I haven't tried to repair a house yet. Not sure how long it takes.

How long it takes depends on how much durability it lost and the worker's skill level
I can gather plenty of wood fine, and having Saed do it costs literally nothing
So doing it for free costs a LOT less than buying every time it wears out

Wood spent is a cost regardless of weather you purchase it or use your own stores; if you're using your own stores, it's an opportunity cost for what you could have sold it for.
Still, you might be right.
Maybe if I wait until a house is all the way at 0 before repairing it, it will cost less than 150 wood to repair? I'm unsure, not having waited that long, lol, especially tricky as the game isn't that old!
And they might fix that, too. They seem to be working on rebalancing stuff.

It seems to go up by ten wood for every 5 points lost, it really needs rebalancing
I'm hoping they'll balance out to a 1:1 wood:durability ratio, or even 1:2
Something less lopsided

Yes, I hope they rebalance things.

I'm okay with how it's balanced right now. But that has more to do with the fact that i have a whole lot of wood.
My explorers love there Marble slabs. :}

It is all right if you have the wood to keep up
Right now tho I'm trying to figire out how the hell I'm supposed to repair the pots, since it won't let me :|

You can't repair them while they're equipped; you have to take them down and have them in your inventory to repair them.
Same with stables.
