No, I wasn't trying to discredit the work that people put into their products. I was just trying to say that work alone isn't a good measure of the end value of a product.
And I wasn't trying to say that figures aren't something to be respected as a work of art either. But it feels like some of them aren't being sold at their value as art, but as their value as art + their value as being part of a popular fandom, and that makes me a bit bitter.
I don't actually know if your figure is one of those- I haven't seen it to judge if I think its being sold at a fair price or not. But as a general comment on the subject, I've seen a lot of fandom merchandise go for 200$ when its obviously not worth 200$, and I hate it. :I;;
