They are just black.
I want to get some colored Japanese themed tattoo someday, but they are horribly expensive.

I don't have tattoos or piercings D: I don't like pain.
Do you create your own designs or do you use brushes(Kinda wanted to ask this question for the yukatas too)?

Part/part. Sometimes I use brushes, sometimes I make things myself. The Yukatas are mostly brushed though.
As said before, tattoos don't hurt.
Maybe it's just me. I remember when I had my second done I had to sit in the same uncomfortable position for like 2 hours and the tattoo guy (no idea how you name someone like this in English) kept asking me whether I could still bare the pain because I must have looked pained and I was like "No, my back hurts from sitting like this!" all the time.

The Kanji say "Kibou", meaning hope.
The last one is a bunny in a half moon. I had it done after my bunny died. I have the clear picture somewhere.

... awww ... that's so cute ... I'm sorry about your bunny ... I wanted the huge wings I would like to get tattooed on my back, when I get really really drunk in about 100 years, in honor of my grandma ... she raised me, and was the best mother I could've ever had ... but, again, needles scare me!!! ...
