I noticed this too and even though I enjoyed the event and got everything I wanted + more it does feel a bit unfair that it didn't end for everybody at the same moment :/

The event ended for everyone at the same time.


We have to look into why some were able to gain water points after that.

I definitely was able to keep going longer?
Don't know why.
I thought it had just been that it was late coming down until I saw this thread and realized it was over sooner for other people.

The only thing I can think of is, throughout the event I had a separate tab kept open to one of the announcement threads so I could easily toss a water balloon at an NPC without needing to find an appropriate rank 1 target each time.

Maybe it was because that tab wasn't refreshed? But it kind of was in that the timer count-down continued, and the button changed, so...

Still confused.


EDIT: Do we know how long the booth will stay for us to spend the water points?
Do we have time for some of the Market auctions of the summer '24 items to end first, so we know which ones we'll get and which ones we'll need?
I don't want to lose the points unspent because I delayed too long, if the booth will disappear before the auctions are over.

I wouldn't wait that long. The booth stays open so people can spent their remaining water points, not to wait for auctions to end. It will probably be disabled today or tomorrow.
