I like the idea of this event.Though I have no time to post, so I know I won't be able to get many items.

I hope we can get them while digging, cause I do that more often!

For users complaining about posting events:

KofK is overall a FORUM-based site.
Thus posting is a massive part of it.
The site has been slowly dying off, and activity is needed.
That is why we want more chatting to keep a forum-based site alive.
So the solution is to bribe people into participating with spam junk masquerading as actual content?

No one is forcing you to be social.
Just buy the items from someone is.
With all the color-combinations and all the items, I really doubt they're going to appear in plentiful enough amounts on the Market. Some people want all possible colors for all possible things. (I only want 7 different colors of just the wig, and that's 70 posts.) So we non-social people all just have to wait for these specific to appear on the market, and then hopefully get lucky and snap them up, but it'll be impossible to get all the ones we want. (Especially since the items expire and disappear, even.)

Thus the solution is to either wait for alternative methods to get Donuts (which is a probably not a good idea considering the current run ends in four days, and the items expire), or advertise on the forums for someone who posts a lot to buy them for us (which is what I'll probably do).

So this idea ends in forums full of spam-pretending-it's-not and people begging for the services of people willing to post in that garbage, and I guess, what, you consider the site saved because yay content?

Hmm.

Before you misunderstand me, though, I'm not demanding an alternative for Donuts. I accept that I probably won't get many of the items I want because I don't want to be social MORE than I want the items. I'm only making the point that these kinds of ideas don't work to save a site, because they just produce garbage and not real conversation. What's wrong with the site won't be fixed by bribing people into being more social.

Actually, the items expire at of rate of one item per 3 months. Which means you have 15 months or 450 days before your wig expires. That's 70 posts in 450 days. That's 1 post per 6 days. I think you can manage that. If you need a place to post, try Avatar Talk. The requirement for Avatar Talk thread has gone up to on sentence but that's still pretty low on interaction requirement. Just make sure not to post one-word reply because you'll either get warned for it or the whole thread will be moved to Word Games if more than one person does it and then no one will be able to get Frosted Doughnuts on that particular thread.

These are some pretty neat new items. Just, kinda comes at a bad timing since I just restarted school and all, so I'll have to see if I can find some time. xDD

The question wasn't if I could "manage" it, the question is do I want to engage in pointless babble? No I do not. The question is does pointless babble save this site? No it does not.

And in fact... no I can't "manage" it. It is a necessity to me that I know and respond to someone who is talking to or quoting me on a forum. Since there's no notification when you are quoted on these forums, that means I must subscribe to every thread I've posted on and check them all regularly, and then read all the new replies posted that have nothing to do with me just on the off-chance that one might be someone talking to me, until basically forever.

So actually, no, I neither want to "manage" 1 post every 6 days* out of principle (it being inane), nor am I capable of "managing" it due to it being a horrific and overly-complicated ordeal for someone like me.

(I already have to refresh and read the replies on this thread until it's locked, and that alone is filling me with horrors.)

* That 1 post in 6 days is an irrelevant number anyway (even if it were true, which it's not because you can only gather WHILE the shop is open a few days in random months, not even every month) since that only covers the wig. Of course I want many more things of the items, that was just single example I gave. Hence the "just the wig" that I said. There are more items I want.

It will be interesting to see how this works in the long run, but it seems like a good idea ^_^

Oh this looks fun......for the people who constantly haunt the forums. I think you should have put the digging in when you released it so the people who don't want to use the forums can still get them

You all are making me want to just sell all the first items I get, since it sounds like a lot of you don't have much faith you can get them yourselves.

On the other hand, I'm not seeing a lot of "want to buy" threads in that forum, either, so maybe you're all just being cautious/coy?

Do the items leave after 3 days, but we can collect donuts all 3 months or does the donuts and items go away and come back every month? Just curious because a few people were confused and I plan on collecting every item of every color :o
They are so pretty very well done! <3
I am a HUGE person for events XD
i love having goals and things like that
well done and im so happy I found knuffles as my home <3
No, the items do not leave after 3 days. One item leaves after 3 months, always the oldest one. Since in this case all new items have been added at once, only one, the armwarmers, will lave in 3 months, the next item, the Hanging Flowers, will leave in 4 months, the Brooch in 5 months and so on.

You can only collect Donuts during the days in which the Candy Caravan is open, so only during a few days each month, but you get to keep the currency you have collected. So while you can't collct new Donuts when the "event" is closed, you don't lose them like with other events.
I hope this makes it more understandable. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions and I will try to answer them.

Yes, the Candy Caravan will come here for a few days each month only.
