thanks so much for the spoiler tag mikael <3 i would have cried if i read spoilers D: D: they upset me so much. i need to experience and feel things on my own ~~
feather, im sure you are really cute (: looks and personality wise!
i most highly value kindness and honesty. humour and intelligence probably come after that. i know people who are kind for the sake of being kind. my mother is~ but you are right that is rare.
and i get what you mean about the culture of america not being humble, but actually most of my friends are the opposite, and have a lot of self hatred. and i wish i could help them, and i try to do whatever i can, but its something you have to get out of yourself. im not very humble about my looks, and to be honest its partially because i want to encourage other people to view themselves as very attractive, but i can be humble about some things. :P
i have a HUGE CRUSH ON QUEEN EDDIS
it might even be as big as my crush on eugenides . i really dislike attolia. and i dont think ill ever like her, because how could i when she hurt two people so dear to me

Ok, I'll stick to Mika. xD
I don't have any RL nicknames. I reject any attempts to give me one (there haven't been many anyway) because I love my name. 83
I prefer to be called my full username online as well, but I don't mind it as much.
@Vee - Don't read this! lol
Spoiler
I love the Gen in Thief the most. Playful and self-assured but still as likely as any of us to trip and fall.
The Gen in Queen is the most interesting to watch. I'm so happy we see him growing up.
As he grows older, he becomes...impenetrable. In the 3rd and 4th book, he's always making fun and he never takes anything seriously. He can do anything and nothing ever hurts him. He seems more god-like than human. But I love watching his plans unfold.
(He seriously reminds me of the Chrestomancis!*)
Now for why I love Attolia. As a queen, she's brilliant, and I love her just for that, haha.
But it's mainly because she's fascinating. I want to know sit in the perfect queen's thoughts, to watch her decide why she'll do what she'll do. I want to know how she feels.
I love the way she sits still.
And she falls in love with Gen, for god's sake? I find it as comical as she does (on p312).
I definitely understand why Gen loves her, and if I could be Gen for her, I would. xD I really love her.
Thus it's a tie!
*I'm going through them right now. Mmm, I knew the series wasn't my favorite, but reading all the books in a row really is making me rather sick of it. x(
I do not like Witch Week. :| My first time reading it I don't think I read it all the way through, and this time I skipped 4/5 of it.

@Vee: Of course! XD Yeah, I prefer gathering my own experience as well. :)
Yeah, people who stand out to be as being genuinely kind can probably be counted on one hand for me. Most people are nice for the sake of some benefit, haha.
Well, I don't think self-hatred and lack of humility are opposite --I know a lot of people who have both! A lot of people on Tumblr seem to have both... the majority of them are a rather conflicted group of youths. Haven't you ever met someone who often spoke pridefully [like they know everything or that their opinions are of absolute importance] and yet they speak poorly of their looks or their skills [sometimes to fish for compliments]? I know a lot of those. A LOT.
I'm rather self-conscious about my looks, but at the same time, I don't try much. If I'm clean and tidy enough, I'm good. XD; I just don't put value into appearances in the way that a lot of people seem to --to me, I'd rather be someone interesting than someone good-looking. All the same, I acknowledge that a person's looks says a lot about who they are, and that's pretty interesting.
I don't think that everyone is attractive --physically or otherwise. Some people have one or the other, some people have both, some people have neither.
It should be said that my crush on Gen is intense. Haha.
@Saloiq: Aha, nice. I don't like my real name, so...
Spoiler talk! Turn away, Vee!
Spoiler
Aha, that makes me miss Gen as a youth. I like every age of Gen, but to say that he's impenetrable is so... sad.
Aha, the Chrestomanci series is nice. Not always a fluid read, but it has its moments.
Yes, she is pretty crafty, haha.
Mostly, I think her feels are irritation, frustration, and anger when it comes to Gen. Love too, but you know, haha.
Would you lose a hand for her?
Ooh, I see. I keep getting stuck in the one about the kid from the bookstore. *facepalm* They all have good points here and there, but the series itself is a slow read. I read everything in the first four books, and then some odd ones, I think. My favorites are the first two stories, I think.

Spoiler
When it comes to Gen, those are everyone's feelings.
Haha, I think so. xD
Same, my favorites are the first two. They're so similar though. :'D

@Saloiq: For the Chrestomanci series, yes, same feels, but the stories are a bit different.
@Feather: Hermione just officially joined the gang after the troll ordeal.

Curious, would the troll ordeal get you to be friends with someone, even though they were just talking about you behind your back and made you cry?

Well, if they saved my life, I would definitely reconsider my opinion of them. We'd definitely need to have a talk. It wasn't like The talk was completely unjustified, although Ron is kind of a jerk.

yeah harry and ron are kind of jerks but id say if they saved my life i would probably reconsider being friends with them. and they had a sense of understanding after that ordeal, and all of them became kinder to one another.

I would think so. Well, considering that everyone's only 11, how much can you expect from them? I mean, kids can be thoughtless sometimes, but also can be selfless/kind. Everyone's still kinda growing.
Also... I, uh... I got really into tQoA and kinda finished...it... XD; It was really good! *facepalm*
