There is a tickle of a memory of a third game, but I cannot fathom what it was.

It's certainly fun to fantasize about suddenly having a ton of money. So many artists, websites, and businesses to support! Charities to start. Debt to get rid of. Investments to make, both personal and social, like education and truly clean energy.

Well I did hypothesize that one might’ve been a puzzle game but I could be wrong lol.

Yep! And, I know that wealth is relative. Unless I have specific numbers in front of me, I'm afraid I might fall into that trap of thinking there's never enough, so I've been trying to actually quantify stuff lately. Here's the current budget. Here's the projection of the current budget with inflation averaged and calculated in. Here's the stats on increasing medical costs, costs of living, etc, as people age. Here's the actuarial table where I can estimate what age I'll actually reach.
Collate all of it.
Double the numbers, for emergency funds.
Once my income goes over what the current budget is, it starts going into investments.
Here's the calculations on what the investments need to reach so that I can live entirely on income from those, when I'm unable to continue working.
Here it is again, graphed out based on continuing to use investment income to grow investment capital, and per extra year of continuing work so the active income is factored in.

If I ever reach that point, everything after that is disposable wealth that can start checking off the fun-things-to-do list.

I don't want to die one of those people who actually have a lot in the bank but lived hand-to-mouth because of the fear of poverty.... but I know I have the mental habits that tend towards that scenario, so I have to use graphs and specific projections with actual numbers to help combat it.

And the "fun things to do with extra money" lists help give me incentive to keep working faster towards being able to do that.

I kind of hope not -we're already getting so much with the Doughnight, and then Candy Caravan came on top of it, so it seems like a lot of work for Firn already!
Save some of the treats up for times with less other events...

Truth! A dollar for me could be ten dollars equivalent some place else or just a dime in another.

Things are so tight right now I'm just scrambling from month to month, and any investments are just trying to get better job training to get a better raise. I don't want to live like this my whole life.

Yes.

Ironically, I find that anyone who has actually lived through a hand-to-mouth scrambling no-money time period and relied on themselves to get out? They're the ones who know money best and who I go to for advice.
The ones that are super wealthy but have never been poor? Nope, don't bother, their advice is terrible.
Well, among the people I know and have asked advice from, lol, obviously it probably isn't a universal rule.
So.
Y'know.
You manage to invest in yourself like that, I might hit you up for some advice later...

Ya, no kiddin'! Or anybody who hasn't had the opportunity to be battle tested. I'm definitely a lot better at managing money now than when I was a young adult.

I've already gotten two down. I'm a Chartered Tax Professional and notary public. Next year I'm going to try to push it to enrolled agent since that's the highest tax prep rank you can get, and bump up the notary to notary signing agent. NSA is only good for realty closings, but, income is income. On that note, I was recently needed for just normal notary stuff with a family buying a house, and the realtor there said that if you can make just one extra payment (equivalent to your principal, not interest and all), it can take up to 10 years off your mortgage.

That's a huge difference indeed! It's amazing how it all adds up so swiftly.
Is the Notary Public a hard one to get? I don't know anything about that field.

I suppose you’re right Aki. Too much work lol. Even if it’s just an added code and recolor. Lol
