Just got back from a family get-together meal. Lots of feasting. We were celebrating a new baby cousin and she is impressively chill. The whole time, so many people laughing and talking and making so much noise, but she's just looking around calmly... it was amazing.

Mood: Back in my home country for the first time in 2.5 years.
Location: Wherever the wind takes me...
Today I had my belated b-day celebration, so I ate like a king!

I slept in late, so no breakfast. But for lunch I had two of my new favorite onigiri (pork paddy, egg, and demiglaze), and a very runny egg that I stole from my partner's bento.

Then I snacked on some sour skittles and a dark chocolate protein bar that I swear tastes like candy while we waited for the Omizutori festival to begin.

Then, after the firey celebrations, my partner took me out for gyoza and chasu ramen, loaded with spicy sesame oil and chili sauce, topped with the most perfect, jammy seasoned egg I've ever eaten.

Then I finished off the day with some of the sweetest strawberries I've ever tasted over some rich dark chocolate ice cream, complete with candles (with a Happy Birthday message in Thai, since I was suppose to celebrate my birthday last month, in Thailand, but life got in the way.).

It was a very, very good food day. ^^
