Aww, that sucks about the phone.
That robot sounds cute as heck.
Coat-wise, first round of pattern drafting is done. I've gotta transfer the patterns for the front and the sleeves to fabric so I can do a test-fit (my main concerns are if the front closes like it's supposed to, and if the sleeves and armholes give me enough range-of-motion to be practical), and from there, I'll make adjustments (I strongly suspect the sleeves are where I'll need to do the most work) and go from there. I need about eight yards of fabric for the main body of the coat, and if I can, I'll just use my mockup as the lining except for the sleeves, which will need a satin-like fabric for ease of putting on and taking off.
I've got the warmth layer bought and ready to go, though I think I'll need to get another quilt padding thing or two, just to be safe. I'm gonna try and get material that's waterproof, 'cause I'm not sure I have enough beeswax to waterproof the entire exterior of the coat.

It's a purple spider, so I called it Cleo and gave it to one of my UtterlyWeird dolls. Watching it scoot around makes me wish even more that you didn't need a smart phone to play with Cosmo.

Oh nice. You can do it!
So you told the coat it's none of your beeswax? (that's a joke)

Oh, thrrrrpt. :P
I'm gonna make a Goodwill run at some point between now and October 24th, so I can get fabric for the coat, and possibly the lining. Plus, I need to stock up on that, since a good chunk of my stash went to mask making efforts.

Sorry. XD
Ohhh. Yeah. Time for stocking up. I confess I'm not wearing my hand made masks anymore. They were too thick for me to breathe through, or for my glasses to sit right. I've got a storebought black one now that says, "If you can read this, then you're too close!" on it.
I went to my favourite thrift store on Saturday. So now I'm overrun by Sea Wees. XD

I wear my mask every time I'm not taking Maxwell out for a walk if I leave the house. 'cause every time I take Maxwell for a walk, there's literally no other humans around. It's honestly really nice.
I'm not gonna lie though. I wish the US had locked the *bleep* down back when this whole thing started. I miss my TFCon buddies something fierce. I miss my FCBD buddies just as fierce. I miss knowing I had the option to go out and do stuff if I wanted, even if I didn't want to most times.
At least I get to go out on the 29th to the zoo (I haven't been since 2013!), and I get to see my boyfriend on Halloween. And possibly Thanksgiving and Christmas (I swear, there will be bloodshed if I have to stay at home for those).
I need to go to bed though. tomorrow, Dad is having me make a deathsticks run. I'm gonna also swing by Walmart and grab a couple things I need.

I wear the mask whenever I'm outside the apartment, mostly. Though of course I take it off when I eat. Except today. I was slipping Skor minies behind it.
I've not seen friends much if at all since shutdown. I haven't had more than one hug in all the months. It's getting weird.

Oh crumbs. *hug!* I'm sorry.
This might cheer you a tiny bit. It's an English lady who talks kind of like you opening some new plant babies. That are nearly as big as she is.
