I can't believe that America has a president that has no respect for women and those different and throws hissyfits on Twitter when someone speaks bad of him. Really? This is the person that is supposed to take care of us and represent us? Since he started running, people have been ignorant, violent assholes with self-entitlement. People who will throw a hissyfit just because someone doesn't think like them. Because hey, the president does, so why can't they? Hey, the president doesn't like minorities, so it's okay to be a racist.

This is such a fucking circus. I've never been more appalled in my life. This is a huge goddamn joke. I love my country, and this is a fucking mockery. An insult.

I've mentioned before that I don't care if people don't like ___.
But these people go past just not liking them.
They're being aggressive, starting shit, forcing their ways on others, vandalizing property, manhandling people and trying to take away their rights.

Not rich? Not powerful? Not connected to the right people? Get the fuck out. /America

These are hard times, there's no denying that. I've always wondered what would happen if political norms broke down in a major way, and I believe that's what we're witnessing.

Alarming, is how I would describe the current situation.

I saw an article that I guess he's going to do something and the caption from the person who posted it says that vaccines don't cause autism. I refused to read it. Not in the mood for more of that bs being said because we don't need that crap flying around again. >.<

He appointed a well-known anti-vaxxer (Robert Kennedy Jr, Bobby Kennedy's son) as head of a White House commission on vaccinations. Robert Kennedy Jr has long promoted the lie that vaccines cause autism. Trump has also publicly stated that he believes this lie.

(Note: Vaccines combat viruses. The early 21st century is going to witness a huge increase in virus-related crisis. One cause will be increased global travel which will bring previously contained viruses to new and vulnerable populations, which is what we saw with Zika. Another cause will be climate change, as there are millions of undiscovered viruses in the ocean which will spread to humans more easily as a result of higher global temperatures and sea rise. Any lag in the science of vaccines at this point in history will have catastrophic consequences long into the future.)

Edit:

......okay. I can't just leave it at that.
If the CDC can't put a stop to this, then we the people will have to get involved in order to protect our communities from the spread of disease. How to do this will change depending on your community's needs and resources, but if people start to doubt vaccines we'll all be in danger so we have to do SOMETHING. Right now I'm thinking, maybe contact your local hospital or doctor's office and ask them if they know of any any vaccine advocacy efforts you can volunteer for or something.

Those are great ideas. Wished I could do something like that but with a crisis with my daughter I can't put any thought into something like that.

Sad how we have to deal with this crap again and it's coming from higher ups and not just stupid celebrities who think they know everything which is easier to ignore and push aside. Ugh how many research papers do we need to put out that they don't do anything bad at all. So many people have this problem with vaccines. Like just because they put a bit of the virus into our systems is soooo bad and now they cause mental issues. I'm sorry, but yes some kids have problems but if they did cause these problems we would see more children who get vaccines with those problems instead of a few who get them because something went wrong with their brains while they were forming or it already being in the blood line. Not the vaccines fault. But no one thinks this crap.

Most likely they need someone to blame for things we can't control but no one wants to think they did this accidentally to their children. Gotta blame someone for something. Even though we don't need to blame anyone or anything. It just happens. Life, not something we can control at all. Idiots I swear.

Thank you. So do I. I really don't want to lose her. This world needs to start being nicer to each other. I think people have enough problems as it is, we don't need more. God I hope the next 4 yrs go fine and this bs about vaccines turns out to be way less worse than it can be. But of course that is wishful thinking.

I hope she is doing good.
I just saw your post in Life Issues ;;

People keep telling me he can't just do anything he wants.
So they say not to panic instantly.
My aunt works at a nursing home, and she says that they can't just cut down Social Security.
She said all those people depend on it because it's all they have.

I just keep thinking that if they keep pushing people, people will push back.
You keep messing with an animal, it will eventually snap at you.
