I hope it's nothing serious Serra. Headaches are awful. I've never had a serious one like a migraine or anything but I know even sinus ones have me feeling terrible...

Wow. I've never gotten that high because I buy the monthly troth token items and store them to trade or sell.

I got a Moana doll at Walmart on clearance, and I'm kinda disappointed by her hair. it's not thick enough at the front. I can see a gap between the hairline and the next row of hair. but other than that and her skirt only being a printed piece of fabric (I can fix that), and some mold markings on her arms and feet (I can sand those away), she's pretty awesome. and since she was on clearance, she's definitely going to be worth the effort to fix up.



Edit: It turns out Moana-dolly's hair has a thatched part, so once I got it located and sorted out, the hair doesn't look as thin. I'm gonna have to do a lot of work to get her hair to lay right, and I'm also going to be working on contouring her face and body in addition to fixing her faceup. her brows are angled to make her look a bit too aggressive, her lips are not the right color for "natural" for her skintone... lots of little things that need fixing.

I never get that high because I disappear sometimes. :P Speaking of which did you get any extra guitar monthlies to sell Tam?

Den - That sounds like a big project! It's cool that you can do all that though, I'm sure it'll be fun to work on. :3 I've seen a lot of dolls with those aggressive brows you're talking about. :P

I've been doing customizations since 2006, and I'm still learning things. I have a whole bunch of art supplies on an amazon wishlist, and most of what they'll be used for is doll-related.

Eventually, I want to move all my creative works up to my bedroom, where I don't have to breathe in Dad's cigarette smoke.

Yeah, I either forget to buy stuff, or I acknowledge that I won't be using or selling them, so I just don't buy them.

But if anyone wants something from the troth tent, just let me know, I'd be happy to buy something and send it over.

And yes, headache sucks. Hoping for results by tomorrow at the latest. It's impacting my life quite a lot.

How did you learn most of it? Videos or? I like crafty things but have never given dolls much thought.

I feel you with the smoke thing. My mom smoked inside when I lived with her growing up. When I moved out I got sick a lot less often. o_o;
