Butterflies skeeve me out up close. Too breakable. And I really don't like big fuzzy moths because they trigger flashbacks to the time my mom forced me to step on one. I've trained hornets to come sit on a spot for a fly reward, and had conversations with a bumblebee who liked to sit on noses.

I just got a haircut. My head feels so much better. Even when it's humid instead of hot, hair feels gross.

Lavender hair sounds pretty. Do you have to bleach it or do you have light hair?

I'm scared of moths! There's just something about them that creeps me out. I remember when I was little there was one in my room and I stayed up the entire night staring at it waiting for it to move. :qlol: It's cool that you're a hornet/bee whisperer though.

Cool! I always felt so refreshed after hair cuts!

I have to bleach it. I've always done it myself or with the help of friends, so it doesn't come out perfect, but I love how it looks regardless. I've been holding off because who knows what I need for employment, but I'm having trouble looking for work amidst all my frustrating medical issues too :qsl:

I love living in Canada. You can even get jobs here with visible tattoos and metal in your face. Just, apparently, not when you're already in your twenties, have no work history, and horrific people skills *never really has had a job*.

Not so much a bug whisperer as a Disney princess, according to one friend. See, I can do that with most creatures. It's a family trait. When I lived on the farm the birds used to come yap at us, and one tree swallow (a really shy species, the books claim) tried moving in with us in the house.

I've noticed more and more companies are getting less strict in regards to tattoos, hair and piercings. It's really common now to see that kind of thing, I don't think it's really as "different" as it used to be viewed.

Yeah I can see that being Disney princess... xD Still, very cool!

I have a hunch that even if I were to get an interview around here, most places would look at the shaved head and the nose ring and tattoos and nope out.

That sucks. :c Is it pretty conservative where you live? I know where I work they're pretty laid back. I see bright hair, tats and nose rings daily.

Since I've been out of work for a while, I just don't want to give anyone any reason to not hire me, assuming I can manage to even apply for a job that suits me.
If I can work as an illustrator for more than just random commissions, I'll definitely go back to purple hair though.

Illustrating sounds cool, what all have you worked on?
