ahh i'd die for some of the old items like the takeshita set. i would probably spend a lot to get those wigs. if only i had enough fp and someone was willing to sell them haha i remember Firn once said we could ask her for old items and she would put them on the market. i never did though, because i'd probably lose the auctions anyway :mclol:

what i usually do is i set the buy now price at the highest price the item had ever been sold, and the auction starting price at either half of that or, if reasonable, the lowest it's been sold. unfortunately sometimes stuff gets sold at 1fp so it doesn't really make sense haha

@Amura: I think sometimes people just don't want a full set maybe? And they might not have FCs to buy a set (if you price them for FCs, that is). People might price GotQ for a few coins less on the market or per current :fc: value (which is crazy), so I do understand why overpricing would be contagious :mclaugh: I remember back when I was selling stuff on the market, I'd sometimes put some ridiculous price just for the kicks and then someone would buy it and I'd be like "damn, them people be rich in food :mcomg: " XD

@Saphira: You could try asking Firn to do that. Last time I complained about old items being unattainable, she offered to do it. I think (not completely sure, my memory's bad, lol) she mentioned she wouldn't do auctions, just buy now prices, because she'd like to avoid raising the already ridiculous values of the old items.

Haha, idk which items get sold at 1 fp, but I know I sometimes used to set such prices just because I was sick of people placing 100000000000 fp price for an item from 2 years ago or even newer xD

@Saphira:
The set you mention is the Takeshita Dori set? I do have that one...
Would you have a look at my selling/buying thread and see if we can work out a trade?

*coughs*
Sorry memoriam, for interrupting your thread with advertising ^^;

Yeah, I think some people don't have interest in all the items in a set. That's why I take offers on the whole set, and if I get no offers then I sell the separates in the market.
But the pricing drives me nuts, that's why I prefer trading.
Because a few years ago (when I left) FCs were worth about 15-16k. Now they are at 100k.
So some old rare items, which are hardly ever for sale, might have an old pricing reference of 200k (which was a lot!) but right now that's the value of only 2 FCs.
Crazy.

aaa really?~ i'm kinda broke but i'll leave you a post there :mcwink:

100k for a fairy coin? i don't think that's correct anymore actually? because i keep seeing them being sold at around 200k since last year. i stopped playing for a while but when i got back i saw the prices go from 80-85k to even 250k food points! the graph in the market says the highest price this year was 300k. if i bought a fc now i'd be rich tomorrow haha imagine having so many food points they just... never end.
but how does that happen? why do they keep rising in price? who's buying 300k fairy coins?? :mclol:

I bought two FCs at 100k recently.
But it was in the forums, so maybe they skyrocket in the market?

There is one for sale now, and it's going for 150k. It's crazy indeed.
The average is 123k though, and looking at the graph it shows clearly that most of the time it's between 80k and 160k - I would say 100-120k would be the most frequent price.

you're right, they do skyrocket in the market sometimes, but mostly they get sold at around 120-150k i think? it still confuses me though, why do fc keep rising in price? how does that happen? :mclol:
i also remember it was a bit harder buying knuffels in 2014, i had to play the memory game few times before getting a regular while three new super cool wild knuffels were getting released every day, it was stressful trying to get them all haha

Lol, no worries, I don't mind :mclaugh:

And to add a bit to the convo, the prices for FCs keep rising because people keep buying for the stupid high prices xD I see no other explanation. Although I have absolutely no idea how they have so many fps. I'm an old user and provided that FCs go for at least a 100k, then I'd only afford 4 tops... And that's looking at the lower price range.

Yes, of course, that's plain offer and demand.
We demand many FCs (for there are so many cool sets released) but we offer very few (because they cost real money) so it makes sense that they are expensive.

But this has always been the case, and they started below 10k and eventually raised to what they are now.
What's different?

I guess that:
a) there are less people donating regulary - which means less FC
b) some people are making huge amounts of FPs regulary - so they can afford paying what to others seem like outrageous prices

The person who overpaid my items mentioned she is making 2 millions a month :mcargh:
That's a lot of food into our economy.

Revealing my age here. But when we first started having FC's they would go for an average of 7-8k max.
I sold so many monthly back then Just to be able to buy all the things I wanted from the shops. :}
These prices are scary...
