I love Tilda projects. Haven't done one in forever though. Got one massive Santa of her that still needs to be done. :}

I fixed my sewing machine
I already got stuck in to some new stuff. I've been experimenting and practising. I switched the sleeves from one of J's old work shirts and jumpers and sewed them into place on each other. It was a bit of a challenge as well because they were different sizes. Now I'm experimenting with tailoring the one where the shirt is the main body to make it fit me better.

Awww, Ashiya, those look great!
Yay for getting the machine fixed, jacob! Did you have it done by a professional or did you manage to figure out the problem by yourself?
Sorry about being so absent lately, I've been organizing my master's thesis and will start it tomorrow. So expect me to either disappear for 6 months now or be online a lot more because I'll be tired in the evenings and just want to relax in front of my pc without doing much, so a bit of light chatting on here will be nice... I can't really tell which of the two it'll be :D

Haha, maybe a mixture of both?
I figured it out myself. After a looooong time of troubleshooting lol. But at least it's working again. Although one of my bobbins doesn't appear to be working at all - it's the kind of machine that has a magnetic control for the bobbins and out of the two, one sews smoothly and the other just jams. So maybe it's scratched or something. Which is annoying because I won't be able to have two thread colours available at once.

Maybe :D
Nice! Although the bobbin not working sounds annoying. Can you get additional ones or are they super expensive for your machine? Mine just uses some standard plastic ones and I purchased a pack of them to be able to keep a bunch of colours ready at once.

I can probably get more. They're metal so I don't know how much they will cost. Also I need to get a spare needle or two at some point, really!

I think I've also seen metal ones for not too expensive, but it probably depends on the exact kind you need. And yes to having spare needles! You'll need them eventually anyway, so it's good to have them lying around in case they're needed suddenly.

I'll have to wait a bit as I don't have any spare cash at the moment. But I'm not sewing too much right now since I don't have spare time so it doesn't matter yet. I need to thread a new bobbin as I ran out of thread already on the work I was doing before.
