She had a yellow jacket problem and with a young kid, that's even worse
Dad had two cans of bee spray
One was so old, it didn't foam much. It ended up dying on the foam end, too
The other had plenty of juice left, at least, nice and foamy
But he couldn't get at the nest, too well hidden, just at their access points to get to the nest
Not a large one, fortunately

If you have a bee's nest you should call for a bee keeper.
Bee's are going extinct and they can get the nest out and preserve the population for our food chain. :}

If it were a honeybee nest, sure
Yellow jackets? Not so much. They're too troublesome

Oh Yellow Jackets are Wasps... did not know that. I thought you were talking about a problem with a jacket that was yellow. :}

We have hornets around here. I have to be really careful since I have allergic reactions to their stings.

My cousin's a bee-keeper! He goes around and gathers honeybee colonies from old buildings and wild swarms from people's yards.

That's pretty cool. Good for him. I think beekeeping would be pretty cool if I weren't afraid of bees.

If I wasn't allergic to pretty much anything that stings I would have started up bee-keeping years ago.
Now that, would have really upset our neighbors. :}

There's this old apple tree by our backyard with a honeybee nest
We have a garden growing, so we're leaving them be
Dad's hoping that they'll get big enough to swarm and form another nest

Yeah, yellow jackets are not the nice friendly honeybees. They're nasty

One of my dreams has and will always be, to one day, have a big enough garden.
I love those old big structured English Gardens, although it would have no roses. I'm allergic to those. :}

I'd do something like a zen garden, but with local plants
Or some low maintenance thing where it's okay to look a bit overgrown
