I recommend leaving a tab up open to an NPC or other convenient target, and cannibalizing a game timer so you're alerted. It's amazing how quickly the hits pile up when your timing is optimized!
i'm leaving a tab opened now, i hope i can somewhat manage to make the 5k points for the knuffle.. i'll try lol
so far im getting lots of misses

Keep at it!
Your hit rate will improve as your rank goes up, and this year Firn created (well, actually, she may have done it earlier years, and I just didn't know) a rewards-for-your-rank bonus, which will help you a lot.
At rank three, you'll suddenly find yourself 250 water points richer.
At rank five, you'll suddenly have 500 points more, again.
They'll boost you a long way towards your goals!

It'd be pretty hard, but if you can reach rank 10 you get a free event knuffel, too.
Not sure on the math of it, but maybe you can pull it off?
Still, you have enough points for a complete set of the event avatar items, plus the event knuffel, much earlier than that.
So no need to push too hard.

sounds hard but i will try my best for sure so i don't regret it
aiming for at least rank 4 tonight...little bit into 5

NGL when this event started I never thought I'd make it this far!
But I really enjoyed it.. throwing water bombs became such a habit i guess it will be weird once the event is over XD

I was only 900 away from another knuffel, but it has been removed...but I did think it was supposed to end before this anyway lol

Started on the 30th and kept at it for a couple hours. Got to level 4 :o
Didn't get far enough to get the event knuffel though, sadly.
EDIT: Ended up getting the knuffel, thank you so much!

Okay *sigh*
I'm not a sore loser. IF the game is fair. A loss is a loss, a win is a win. Not the case this time.
I logged in to continue throwing water balloons today as well (31st) because you know it was supposed to be over on the 30th but it usually drags out a bit.
The counter showed it was time to throw but I could not anymore because nothing appeared under the avatars in any forums, so I thought the event was over on time this time. Obviously, since I couldn't play anymore. Cool! I was leading by more than 300 points!
I checked back at a later time and still no buttons were appearing.
Now, I just came back because I wanted to spend my points that I worked so hard for.
I checked the final top scores: It says now I'm in 2nd place. Down by 40 points for some reason?! (which can be easily gotten back in about an hour)
How did this happen? Do the buttons get turned off for some people earlier than others? Or did I do something wrong to be banned from playing?
Hats off to the winner though. Quite the competitor. I had fun.
It would have been quite a final run if I could throw at all. :( But I stupidly did not triple check the event...
Oh, well. Life's lesson.
Can we expect this next time as well? because then I will really need to pay attention to when the event begins and not start four - five days later. :)

edit: I just checked the scores again. Now, I'm down by 70 points!

Is the event really over?
