Oh, you're right!

I like the fact that Eddis has a broken nose due to her childhood roughhousing and that she likes to wear pants and walks like a soldier. XD

YES! i love the pants thing and that eugenides knows how fancy dresses totallly do not suit her! but yeah the broken nose thing, man i bet her nose looks great. i picture her as being so cute !! obviously shes not conventionally beautiful since she was described as not being that, but i still picture her attractive in her own ways. i like her hair cut too :3 very very nice.

Aha, I picture her as a tough and sturdy-looking young woman who would seem stern if she were unsmiling, but mostly has a friendly and open expression that draws people to her. She carries authority without having the need to prove it [unlike Ambiades]. Definitely not conventionally beautiful, but more of a case where her personality creates her own kind of beauty. Short hair is nice. :D

this this this this this this

thats my favorite kind of beautiful~ and i see it very often in friends and people around me. ive found so many people attractive that other people dont. i remember this one guy i liked so much and i thought he was so good looking, and my friend told me his head looked like a lego and he was an ugly nerd Dx but i still think he is very attractive... but yeah haha so i definitely have that idea about eddis.

short hair is always my favorite though, on all genders i think short hair is the best xD most hair lengths are nice, but short is my thing

I know people with that kind of beauty, and once you've grown attached to them, it's hard not to see them as beautiful. XD

Wow, your friends sound jerky.

*high-fives* I like all hair lengths, but short is among my favorite for girls. :D

yeah, once i see someone as beautiful in that way, i probably wont change my mind. and it works the other way around too. ive met plenty of people who i initially found extremely attractive, but once i got to know them and they were dicks, their beauty deteriorated in my eyes

yeah my friend.. well she was sort of shallow when it came to looks. and lots of people are that way... i mean, i can appreciate conventionally beautiful people, but i find many other things beautiful than what is just conventional

-high fives-

Aha, can't judge a book by its cover. Most people value looks very highly because it says a lot about a person, and also because certain cultures place certain values...and also because being attractive is something that is highly valued everywhere, haha.

I value intelligence, humility, and kindness (all within close proximity), but there are few people who carry all three traits on such a high level. There are very few people who are humble --it goes against American culture (which is kind of a "show off what you got") and most people compare themselves to others (I'm guilty of this to some degree as well). For kindness, I don't know many people who are kind in a way where there isn't some sort of benefit in it for them.

I don't find myself pretty, but when people get to know me they always call me dorky and adorable x3

So I missed the end of Thief and half of Queen... :'D

Well, could we go back to Ch3 of Queen for a sec? Last page.
I find the amphora metaphor way too explicit. The difference between it and the usual subtle hints is so jarring that it brings me out of the moment every time I read it. x(
Just wanted to share that. v_v

Also ugh you guys I LOVE Attolia. (Queen is my favorite book btw!)
If I met her I'd be scared to death but as a character I LOVE her.

@Vee - I think after Ch11 where Eddis explains Attolia to Gen you might like her too. X3

But Mikael's already read the whole thing, so I'm really curious - what do you find unlikable about Attolia? Well, I can think of quite a few traits you might object to, but I'd like to know exactly. xD
(Mikael, do you have a nickname?)

I love Gen/Attolia, Costis/Sophos and Eddis in that order.
I want Eddis to get her own book. I feel like I don't know her well enough to really like her. I admire her as a person but I don't feel very close to her, y'know?

@Feathers: Adorkable is good. XD

@Saloiq: *patpat* Aha, it does stand out, yes.

How can you like anyone more than/equal to Gen? D8 XDDD Welp, someone has to like her.

My nickname is Mika, but I've also been called Pops and Gramps by some young online rascals when they want to tease me, haha. And then sometimes people give me weird nicknames like Mikachu or Mikazilla...and I have RL nicknames as well. :X Do you have nicknames?

Big Attolia spoilers; don't read this, Vee! DX
Spoiler
Well, you know, she did do the thing where she cut off Gen's hand, haha. I know it was a divine thing, and she felt horrible over the ordeal, but still, wow, bitch move. She's not afraid of Gen the way Sounis is, but it's a very political move to get rid of a pest, and she is known to be rather cold.

So...I do understand where she is coming from.

And then Gen goes and marries her. *facepalm* But why?! Ugh, I know why, but what I mean is sdfha;sfjajfalfj. *headdesk*

But the two do love each other, so I guess. Eh. >_> He had to marry someone, and it was at least someone he loves.

I like Gen best, haha. Like double the best of any character that follows. I would say that Sophos is after, but I only vaguely remember Costis, so i'll have to reread that book.

I definitely want Eddis to have her own book --same reason as yours. XD
