I don't think the legs indicate gender, more likely have to do with what they're going to look like when he's older and/or what they're wearing, at least my knuffels seem to be pretty evenly split as to wide stance/narrow stance.
I got him *because* of his resemblance to the air knuffel, because I like teal so much, until they evolve and start looking different they make an awfully cute set together! Just one looks a little...colder...than the other. Personally, I'm hoping for moonlight to go with sunlight!
