The weather has turned enough here I can start leaving windows open. It starts smelling so stale in here during the height of summer and winter when I have to leave everything closed up.

Airing out the place is always such a good feeling.

My husband and I used to have one of those standing ACs with the air hose. I hated it because it had to be emptied often and a few times we had rain go into the hose and come out the AC.

I don’t think we’ve ever had rain go in through the hose and come out the ac. At least, not that i’m aware of. Lol

It was super alarming when it happened because it was during two really aggressive storms so it soaked the whole floor.

Ooooo that’s not good. Our entire upstairs is like carpeted so if water soaks in, it raises up the carpet. 8u nothing we can do about it now, we have a few patches where the carpet is no longer level with the ground because it got too wet and the water soaked in. 8u

Oh no! we had carpet too but it never raised. It would just soak and then we'd have to clean it before it got moldy or mildewy.

Eww. I hate old carpet. Are they those shaggy carpets that were common in the 70s-80s? That's what my family had in my childhood home. i hated it.

That's not so bad then. Funnily enough, the shag carpet in my childhood home was pink!
