most of the time i just don't like my art lol.
I prefer semi-realism art so when most of my art is just flat
it's just boring to me lol

I gave up on my mermaid piece.
Skin looked great but the pose and everything was just
not working out.

maybe after doing some anatomy practices[and a lot of them]
I'll resume it. As I do want to finish her because her lips...i am so proud of.
the one thing i can paint other than leaves/lily pads. :mcheh:

that is good though that it's almost done.
i haven't finished anything in a whole solid month.
My new followers are probably wondering if I'm dead lol

Practicing anatomy is always helpful. I want to get better at drawing lips.

Yeah but it getting finished got pushed back even more since I just started a new drawing last night. XD;
It is just a freebie so I am trying not to spend too much time on it.
I'm holding back on trying to shade it too much and in keeping the shading more simple.

I don't remember the last time I finished art so you are doing better than me. XD
I've contemplated setting up an IG for my art but I haven't since I rarely finish art.
If I got any followers they would have to be very patient. :mclol:

Me too. I can only draw like...1 set of the same lips.
But man lips are SO fun. Especially to paint.
I need to work on anatomy overall.

An artist gave me a helpful tip as drawing anatomy as a whole for practice has been too hard for me so she said to just pick things to study for the whole month. Like do lips for 1 whole month, and then hands, or hair, etc.
I found that to be super helpful. So starting tomorrow I'll be doing that.
It's probably going to be hands. As I struggle with them the most.

Yeah. I finished art back in April but i feel the GUILT.
I keep getting new followers to and i am like "I'm so sorry you're following me and expecting new posts everyday..."
May I kind of took the whole month off. I did a ton of commissions from January until now. And I am proud for doing that but wow it exhausted me. I'm on my very last commission before closing my shop on another site for a while.

IG is good way to share your art but the algorithm can be hard. But it doesn't have to be a place for you to be professionally active on too. Twitter is also pretty useful for art. Though Instagram you gotta mess around so much with tags, and times to post at, etc.

I think I'll go look at some lip tutorials. :mclaugh:

That is a helpful tip. I don't know if I would stay interested in only drawing one thing for the whole month though. I have done sittings of just drawing one thing like hands or animals.

Well that is good that you are still getting new followers. It is good to take a break from commissions so you won't get worn out on them.

Yeah I wouldn't be all that active on them. XD

I need to do that since studying is something I haven't done and need to do.
So I'm willing to do that.
Will be hard to fit in my personal art/commission work with it
but it's worth giving it a shot with the end result.
So today I start Hands!
I'll probably start with a low number so i won't get overwhelmed.

Yeah though I'll have to start commissions again. But RL commissions.
I spent like $40 on a romper. As I needed summer clothes lol.

Yeah true. I want mine to be professional since I want art to be my freelance career. So I've been working hard on understanding what time my followers like stuff and so on.
I think weekends I won't post on.

I've considered buying a romper because they seem to be comfortable. I haven't found any that I like enough to buy.

If I did make one and I got followers then I probably would put effort into keeping it active. Probably posting stuff when people are more likely to be on would be best.
