I'm curious about the options too, since I am using pads right now post surgery. I don't want to make too much trash but I don't want blood everywhere either >_>

Those guys have a pretty good summary of what there is. Their pads are a bit too soft and floppy to be my favourites, but they still work really well.

i've heard diva cups are really good, but for the price point...and the fact i can't seem to get them to work for myself...i still use the horrible disposable stuff =/

Diva cups are costly, but they last over ten years. Personally, I can't get them to fit, so I use to use soft cups instead. Now, I just use the reusable pads and the nice underpants with pads built in.

I learnt it hands on. Couldn't even get the BLEEPING thing situated the first few tries. Leaked like crazy the first couple periods. Then talked it over with a friend who used them, and finally the "aha!" happened.

Then it started hurting like beep because even the little one didn't fit, and I switched to the soft cups, which are easy.

Hmm...these are expensive options for someone who won't be using them very long.

At least, I'm not supposed to. Who knows :/

I've had a lot of success using soft terry facecloths folded into three and stuck into underpants. Also nice padding for tender spots.
