I don't drive, my school didn't get drivers ed until after I left and I had no one trustworthy to teach me. Aunt's ex-boyfriend is a pervert that females of ANY AGE shouldn't be left alone with =A=,

Driving school costs 400$+
To get a car you need a paying job, but to get a paying job around here you need a car to get to it.. =A=, (My job is being a caretaker of disabled mother, I'm trying to get onto SSI myself as my IBS keeps me on the toilet 3-4 days of the week... and it's stress and anxiety related..)

My medical insurance pays for transportations to doctor appointments but you have to schedule it a head of time. Emergencies you call 911 and IBS caused Barfing doesn't equal emergency so no 911 call. =w=
The previous taxi company we used required it be scheduled 2 weeks a head of time, and then they started to tell you when you could schedule appointments... as they started catering to one type of client over the others... >->

And Buses don't run through my area. :p

(sooo use to explaining my situation cause people are use to having buses go everywhere and taxi's they just flag down that take them anywhere right then and there, or had parents/family members who drive that could teach them to drive) >w>,

Haha, yeah, so, I had to google SSI because I'm Polish and Americans tend to use those acronyms like they're universal to the whole world... so, I hope you didn't mean Scuba Schools International XD Don't worry, I got it ;P

I don't drive either because I live in a capital and it's not worth driving a car if you live in the city. And yes, our public transportation goes basically everywhere ;P On some occassions even if you live outside the city it's also not worth havign a car XD

But even without all that. Who the hell make sit a rule to require two days notice for a taxi? Taxi is a taxi, you call, they dispatch, you get your drive. That's how it's supposed to work, how doesn't it work that way where you live? XD (continues being dumb)
And don't people use uber these days?

Our medical insurance pays for the taxi so they have to have time to put paperwork and crap through.

If we were paying with cash, they'd be here faster than a cow could moo. x-x

I prefer 2 day notice over the 2 week notice the other company had xD

We tried Uber once.. bad experience ._. I prefer an actual company than independent drivers.

(keeps forgetting that SSI isn't a world thing) xp

(had to google SSI as well)

Here in Germany, at least not in the big cities, nobody uses Uber yet. When I was living in Ireland, people were using taxis as well.

@Demonskid: AAaaah, see, now I get it xD I never would've thought insurance could pay for that stuff :o

Yeah, I got into uber once, was fishy to be completely honest. The car was the same as in the app, but the person was a foreigner who didn't speak Polish and my bf said that guy probably didn't actually have a license because of the way he was driving, he was very confused on the road. We got to our place safely but I was kinda scared for our lives xD

@Julez: Idk about outside Warsaw, but int he capital I'm pretty sure people tend to gravitate toward ubers now instead of taxis. Although maybe that's just how it feels.

We had an uber driver that sped down the roads like he was on a race track. Another who texted while driving... another who played elevator music while driving which gave mom and I both headaches that lasted 4 days and she refused to turn it off... it helped keep her calm while driving. the last one we used, he barely spoke english but he was a good driver. -w-

then you have to worry about the uber drivers that get violent for whatever reason.. =A= self contractors don't get vetted to see if their safe to be driving people places.

I hear you. I wouldn't trust an uber again either. I just assumed it was considered safe where you live because it's crazy popular nowadays. But personally, it doesn't seem safe XD
