I live in upstate NY. We get fireflies here but I used to see more of them when I lived in Massachusetts. The humidity was also much worse over there.

They are super cool. From a distance they look like flashing stars hovering just above the ground or in the trees.

Well I’m sure they do. But I don’t have them in my area lol. I haven’t seen them here lol.

Do you have spring peepers? They are little frogs with an X on their back and they make a lo of peeping noises at night in spring to early summer.

nope, we don't have frogs here either. i mean, i live close to a creek but no frogs there. and if i go down a street or so, i'll be near lake ontario. but nope, no frogs. rabbits tho. ive got a pair of very fat large rabbits nibbling in my tiny yard's grass. xD

its rainy today. and i feel cold enough to need socks indoors. xD;;
