Yeah, I prefer playing by myself unless friends and I decide to play something together.
I used to play MMOs with friends and when they stopped playing, I played a little on my own and I was fine until people came up to me.
I'd run away or log off.
I don't like playing with others.

I do play one game with others and it's called Dead by Daylight.
You play with four other people.
I play with strangers and it doesn't bother me much and I don't know why.
It has a pretty toxic community too xD
I think when I go into a match, I just try to focus and do my best. No time to worry about anything else.

I actually made a comment on the game's official forum about how I play the game to have fun and people should treat the game...like it's a game.
People insult each other so much and it's like...games are meant to be FUN.
Insulting others and ruining the fun for others isn't how you play games.
I shared my MMO story with them too.
They told me I'M the issue with the toxic community ._.
Because I said I play to have fun >>
They said they bet I played with friends only and always and that's the only reason I have fun.
I told them I play solo. I don't have any friends to play the game with.
They had no response back to that 8u

I LOVE Final Fantasy games. I have only played a handful, though.
Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X-12, XII, XIII, Dissidia, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus.
The first one I ever played was Final Fantasy IX and it's my favorite game of all time 8u

i do understand the "professional" part of gaming (like earning money)... and like all professionals it should be taken seriously. but i honestly think games should be for fun as well. especially with the platform you're talking about right now

People in the community just...They remind me of my aunt. Getting angry over stuff that doesn't matter and attacking others.
I deal with that enough with my aunt irl I don't need it online too.

I have nothing against people wanting to be the best at the game - but not everyone feels the same.
Because someone isn't as good at you at the game doesn't mean you can hurl racial slurs at them and cuss them out.

Here's some examples:

I played with my teammates and I lasted longer than they did.
I did some of the objectives, I avoided getting found, and I did everything I'm supposed.
I didn't win because I got found but that was okay.
I then got insulted by a teammate who told me "I lost braincells watching you play you suck at this game!"
Keep in mind, they died before I did and got less points than I did.
But I'm bad at the game and they're better than me.
Not according to the points xD

Then I had a match where I messed up 5 times on skill checks.
My PC barely handles the game so I get tons of lag and freezing.
I've had to learn to play by guessing when the right time to hit skill checks are.
I don't have it easy like other people who the game runs smooth for.
So I was repairing a gen with a teammate and I kept missing the skill checks because of lag and the Killer had a perk that messes up normal skill checks too so I basically was fucked. But I tried to help my team win.
We got the gen done and I went to open the exit gates.
I saw a teammate was in trouble so I ran to help, but the Killer got me and hooked me.
My whole team then left and let me die.
They told me I missed 5 skill checks and so I wasn't worth trying to save.
Keep in mind, I was going to help them.
I could have just left them behind but I'm not a dick.

It's not impossible to play this game to have fun.
I know I'm not good at the game, but I play to have fun.
I can win and I can lose but if I had fun - it doesn't matter.

i pity those who get seriously angry at other people for "losing". especially if they're not on the same team. there's more to life than that, you know?
