That's a good motivation for reading. I'm still working on that one book I'm not enjoying. But because I don't enjoy it, I haven't picked it up for a while.

They don't do anything to check (or at least they didn't before), so people can lie. And I think people lied before to get the bags. :mcsweat: I'm tempted to lie a little to make sure I finish on time, but I'm so afraid they will ask me about one of the books that I didn't really finish yet lol.

you can list a book that you've read but not within the challenge frame

That's what I just started doing! My partner was like, "You need to hurry, all the prizes will be gone!" So now I'm filling in things that I read this spring or that I plan on reading later this summer or fall. I don't want to lie a lot, but I am not above lying a little!

So bad that people are lying so much for a price.
I think the most people don't even read or going to read the books

I finished The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy (Harold Fry #2). I'm going to put some MAJOR spoilers in the spoilers.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (Harold Fry #1) is about a guy who finds out that his friend is in hospice. He decides to walk to the hospice. The book is about his walk and all the people he meets along the way.
Spoiler
The book seemed happy, and uplifting, and I was sure it was going to have a nice touching ending even though the friend was dying. But instead the end was like, "He got to the hospice, and his friend was barely conscious and couldn't say a word. Oh, and by the way his son killed himself. The end" So I was like ehhh.....
The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy (Harold Fry #2) is the same story but told from the friend's point of view. The whole story is a letter that Queenie is writing to Harold while she waits for him to walk to her.
Spoiler
The letter is all about how she was in love with him, and she knew his son, and she feels responsible for his suicide. The book felt kind of hopeful though. So even though a really positive ending wasn't possible, it still felt like it would probably at least have a touching ending. Instead it was like, "Harold visited, she couldn't talk, then she died, then the hospice people gave Harold the letter that she wrote him, but no one could read her handwriting, the end." So then I was like ehhhhh.... Loved the books, hated the endings.

I took a few other adult books out from the library. I am going to return all the YA books that I have out and just focus on adult books. Because the Bingo challenge for the library is an adult thing, so I imagine they want us to read adult books. And, while I don't mind lying a little, I don't want to lie a lot or any more than I have to. I am at least going to give it my best shot and read as many adult books as I can.

I see... I think many people lie then...

I think it is okay if others do so xD You can list books you've read already, like the others suggested :)

I am reading nothing at the moment, I am so focused on my thesis..

Yeah. I hate being like, "They're probably lying, so I will lie too." But... I don't know.
You get a prize for every Bingo you complete, and I'm only going to complete one, and I'm only going to lie a little, so I keep telling myself it's ok!

Thesises (what is the plural of thesis lol!?) are important too! I didn't read much when I was in college. Pretty much all of my reading has been before or after college!

I usually read a lot during the semester breaks, but this time I will have a "pretty short" break, but thesis is more important than everything right now ..
I think actually that theses is the plural (like crisis - crises) :D

And yes, you have my okay to do that Sanssouci :D
