Technically you can exalt them, but you don't get anything from doing so. So there's nothing you get from doing it besides getting rid of the dragons.

Ahaha I think I exalted my progens because I didn't know that you couldn't get treasure for exalting them
And on a random sidenote, progen stands for progenitor, I believe.

I did that on purpose. 
Best part, the person who I got her from was actually looking for a while and never found a mate like my guy for her, but that was before I scattered him. XD I let the person have their pick of the first clutch when I bred them, and I paid like 60k for her, I made the offer. XD

I exalted my random progen because he was ugly as hell, but I still have a girl that I picked. Planning to gene her at some point. She has tangerine tert, it tooks lovely on gembond and crackle previews.

my male progen was pretty ugly too, but I gave him a chance to shine by scatter scrolling him. XD And he turned out AWESOME~ Actually I'm getting more compliments for him than Muse now. XD

By the way. Do You get treasure for exalting dragons hatched from eggs that were found?
