Sometimes I try to look up the old adoptable/pet sites I used to be on and they are either gone or just like an old fan community forums trying to keep the memory alive...kind of like here. but we still get new stuff.

kofk has more events than the average site (candy caravan plus seasonal events, monthly treasure set plus recoloured minisets, knuffel releases) so i think it's active on the admin side of things. especially considering it's just Firn and Starkad running the whole show.
it's the forums that are slow. the same users chatting in a handful of threads.

That's harder, to my mind. That's an ongoing, you have to live with it forever thing, instead of one single moment that's the exception instead of the rule.

Yeah, it's just the same people I see on here all the time. I feel like it's rare when someone new joins and actually stays.

it would be better if there was more activity in the forums, because even back in kofk's active days there wasn't more staff. the moderator is Ziaheart, Firn and Starkad run the site with Firn making all the art and items, and Starkad coding everything and doing the tech.
i think new users rarely sign up so it would be good if more of the old users returned and were active again.

I wish I could meet all of those returning people. I bet they have a sea of older donation and digging items.

Yeah, a lot of old items are not in circulation because a lot of older users are inactive. I wish they'd get re-released in spurts on the market; a couple of times Firn put a few up on auction to get them back in circulation. I wish that could be a more regular thing.

I do like that model. I don't know how I'd compete with some of the folks who have hundreds of thousands or millions of food points. :c

I feel you. The Unique Knuffel auctions made me feel that way but then it was a move to reduce the inflation of food so it made sense that the bid go as high as possible.
