Oh, the ones where I live don't swoop - we live out in the country. Taller trees, so they feel safe with their nests.
Magpie warbling is... a nice sound. A really liquid, flowing sound. I've never really found a recording that did it justice. But here's a video, at least:

That's bloody science fiction! It would fit straight into Star Trek! What the hell! The more I learn about them the clearer it becomes that they are no real magpies :p
