I remember something between $50 and $100 in Missouri when I did it. I don't think there's a different fee just because it's not marriage? It should be easily checked on the state website though.

Honestly, I doubt they'd be all that bothered by it XD, I just am at the point of making Keith do it because he wants to change his first name anyways so it'd just be easier for him to change his name 100% then having us both have to change one part of our names XD.(that and last of my family born with the last name to my or my mother's knowledge hence the keeping my last name so that I won't be the last anymore XD)

I don't really see it as a problem either Sephy. Nyx might be an unusual last name but it's not offensive or anything either, as far as my knowledge goes.

Most of the time, name changes "for no specific reason" are up to the discretion of the judge.

I eventually want to change my full name. I know what I want to change it to, in fact. Instead of what my current legal name is, I want to be Denver Esther Aileen Grant.

@Sephy, well yeah. But unless there's some suspicion of you evading legal obligations, there's not much to cause a denial of name change.
