When I'm indoors I also say the ceiling, but when I'm outside I always look wearily up to the sky and go "Well we don't really know, now do we." :}

I've had people tell me that they never know if I'm sarcastic or serious
I just grin at them

People are often confused by me. And especially when I'm being sarcastic. Apparently I'm hard to understand too. lol.

My brother once answered, "nothing requiring an ambulance" and had our older stepsister CONVINCED he was doing something nefarious (he wasn't, he was just teasing). I laughed so hard I dropped my book in a puddle. That was over two decades ago, and I'm still grinning just remembering it. She was frantically trying to guess what he was up to.

Yeah; there's a reason I ended up with multiple copies of my favorites. Poor things got dragged everywhere which meant potential for accidents was pretty high.

OMG I have to use that one day~
It is hilarious XD
And that is pretty smart~
One time I borrowed a book from school and I left it outside by mistake ... it rained

I did that with one of mom's books once
Fortunately it was ratty and she already had a replacement
But still, it wasn't a common copy
Oh well :')
Still better than borrowing a book for an entire school year and never reading it, just having it sit in her locker all year until I picked it up last day of the school year >:|
