Man I feel you. Digital makes life simple and hard at the same time.

I just feel like some things work out better with traditional art and others with digital art, and that is fine. Luckily there's the existence of scanners.

I don't, but at my previous school they had a scanner I could use. I haven't looked into my current, but I do know I can print A1 sized posters here which is about equally neat, haha. I do want to invest in a scanner someday, because I hate drawing lineart within digital spaces and would therefore love to use my real life sketching as basis.

Can you buy a scanner separately? :o I had a printer back then, and at that time I didn't have a wacom so I drew traditionally.. and scanned from my printer :o

There are scanners for merely scanning purposes, yes! Just stick in the USB, install the software and you can go (probably). A lot of things are possible nowadays - and yeah, that too is of course a thing. That is how I used to do real crap avatar art on GaiaOnline.
