See, I'm sure the dictionary sucks. Because rabbits don't schlängeln.
Moustache is Schnurrbart. But it's a kind of Bart :P I'm sure a moustache is considered a beard, too.

It is so not! Schnurrbart (xD) is very different from a Bart. Here we call it a 'snor', not a 'snorbaard'. :p
There is something wrong with that dictionary then, it sounds so weird :o
I have never heard of the whole word either otherwise I could have tossed in my own twopence...

...But when I'm looking at English wiki article... it seems to be something different in English. Man, you English (and obviously Dutch, too) guys are weird, you hear me? A moustache is a beard! Dx

A beard is on your chin. Is a Schnurrbart on your chin? No sir it ain't! Trust me, it's you Germans who are out of your mind.

In English a mustache (in Dutch een snor) is the facial hair under your nose / on your upper lip, and a beard (een baard) is the hairy growth on your chin. They can be connected, and sometimes they can be connected to your 'normal' hair by sideburns (bakkebaarden), but it's not at all the same thing. :D

Ah, those are the sideburns. Well it's facial hair. So if you consider a mustache a beard then sideburns'll probably be a beard as well. :p
But for us it's a separate, though I consider it more of a beard than a mustache.
