I don't think I ever looked much into FF9, but I had a friend who really liked it.
I do remember that one time I got stuck in a basement for 4 hours, and I spent that time reading the entire plot of Final Fantasy 8. Somehow I've forgotten absolutely everything I read though.
What happens in FF8? Who knows, apparently not me

Fair point, I do have a memory disorder though, so for all I know it could have been like the most fascinating thing ever LOL.

I liked Final Fantasy 8, but a lot of people seem to complain about it.
In Final Fantasy 8, you're like a mercenary from a school that makes mercenaries and you go on wacky adventures and whatnot xD

Yeah, I don't get why it's gotten so much hate.
It feels like any other FF game ._.
When my PS2 died, I was sad because I thought I could never play Final Fantasy 9 ever again.
Then I found it on PC :D

LOL oh no, that's the worst. I think that happened to me with Dangan Ronpa. I usually wait for sales on Steam, but I'd seen the start of someone's playthrough and I was really impatient, so I bought it full price. Then boom, it's on sale right after that. Not the most expensive game though, so not too big of a deal xD
Yeah it's weird that it would get so much hate if it's more or less a standard Final Fantasy game. Maybe it was just that it got the unlucky slot of coming after Final Fantasy 7. It was kind of a tough act to follow considering just how popular it got.
