So, what? The tapioca makes it bubble or makes it LOOK like bubbles?

Same here. I think the herbal tea also has more flavor without the harshness that black tea has.

And you have gotten my last pastry of the day! Phew! There goes that burden! :mccute:

I like honeydew melon and vanilla. I've tried taro root and another flavor I can't remember, but I didn't really like them.

I like the tapioca. Is it bubble tea without the tapioca?

i thought people only had milk with their black tea

there's a franchise called chatime in aus and I always get tea there
My all time favourite is jasmine milk tea, roasted milk tea
but lately I've taken a liking to green teas like apple green tea :3

bubble tea (milk tea with "pearls" in them) is banned at my scool because kids keep shooting the pearls everywhere. it's gross having to stare at them on the roof and even more gross knowing that they may one day fall on you. but i'm a big fan of bubble tea or pearl milk tea as most of my classmates will call it when translating the chinese name into english. it's a wounderful beverage no matter if it's served hot or cold. extremely popular here in china. though i've stopped ordering them with the pearls because the national news (china's news channel) broadcasted that the pearl now a days is being made from chalk paste instead if rice because it's cheaper and takes less effort to make. eatting to many chalk made pearls has caused many body problems, especially for girls. but i just love chewing the pearls! it's a shame there's no way to tell the diff between real and fake ones. :mcsad:

So do you guys like bubble tea? What flavour(s) do you like? Do you like the tapioca? Don't you love how they always have all these different coloured straws you can choose from?

I like bubble tea! We call them boba tea here, but I've also heard "pearl tea" being thrown out by visitors (not locals).

There are a lot of good tea places here, so my favorites tend to vary from place to place. I tend to order peach or black or green tea (without boba) from the place across work, and Hokkaido milk tea from the place near my house. There's also a place I like ordering milk tea from, but the caffeine from it often makes me crash. I also like Thai ice blended ice tea from another place.

I actually don't care for the tapioca, but there is one place where I'll request it (they have honey tapioca and it's pretty nice). I order it in a sort of milk slush drink though. They add syrup to further sweeten the flavor, and it's pretty good. Usually, I have my tea plain, but occasionally I like flavored jelly.

I see the straws as being more functional than anything, but I guess they are nice.
