I've never even heard of Gaia till I got on Kofk... I might go check it out since I have a lot of free time lately.

Honestly a newcomer will find it hard to fit in if they're looking for what's "on the tin" so to speak. The discussion isn't nearly as nice here, and the ads (not the actual ads, the announcements that are ads) are quite frankly annoying unless you have a whole bunch of money on hand.

I have a Gaia account. I joined back in 2005 and mostly talked with my sisters and real life friends. I stopped going on in 2007 when they started the 2% market tax, which was supposed to act as a gold sink. :/ Honestly the community back then was alright, some people were nice, others were just rude. I decided to login again back in January this year, and it was pretty boring. I was really surprised that they barely added any commons in the years I was gone, but I guess it makes since because Gaia is basically just a cash cow now. Oh, and I forgot to give zOMG a try.

zOMG had started just before I left. In fact I was a tester towards the end of the beta period. Things may have changed but I found it a rather boring and lazy (instead of making it move arms let's use rings) version of a more "casual" MMO. Oh and another cashsink though ironically not as bad of that.

I have had a gaia account for a long time, but I haven't been on there for a year or something. It was fun until they added the cash shop... Now I just go on there to see what's going on.

I've had my account for about three or so years. I only really log on nowadays to read the graphic novel/manga thingy THAT THEY NEVER UPDATE. >:{

I'm a long time member of Gaia Online (since 2004, actually!) and I was getting bored and annoyed with the site lately.
You know, the usual - how they've removed a few games or put them in permanent maintenance mode (which is basically a fancy way of saying that they will not be updating it anymore for an indefinite amount of time), and they haven't been keeping up with the lore of Gaia Online very much lately (the last one was the Fluff event, but even then...). Basically, there's just nothing to do on GaiaOnline right now. They're working on a pet system, though, so who knows where that will lead (although it could very well be removed or put on maintenance mode like all others in time)?
They have also gotten money hungry lately with Club Verge and all the exclusives (they bought back the legendary Angelic Halo for $1,000, imagine that!).
I guess the new CEO is to blame, Gaia has been steadily going downhill ever since he laid off several employees and has been pushing out more and more items that requires you to pay with cash.
There was a thread on GaiaOnline about jumping ship and one of the avatar sites they were talking about was Kingdom of Knuffel, so I thought I'd check things out here. X3

I'm still on there. I'm mostly on the forums. I play zOMG! and Booty Grab too, but it's hard with the lack of updates.
I really dislike how they're selling Gold lately. Selling items is one thing, but Gold?! Inflation's such a mess now. And this is coming from someone who's a CV member!

I am enjoying how the plot line is advancing and all the new character are interesting.

I got pretty bored of gaia for a while now. had an account for... maybe 7 years or so, i don't remember really well the year i first joined XD
my favorite was fishing until that became boring and repetitive and took a huge break.. when zOMG was active i played it for a few months, but the lack of updates and stuff to do put me off
plus, the players ditched me easily and ruined it for me x-x
the only fun thing there is the comic :D i enjoy the artwork too
