topaz can come in a lot of colors? And citrine can be a deep orange through light champagne to almost clear....
but if you don't like the yellows, then you prefer topaz, right? Because it can come in other shades? (Or maybe hues. I get those mixed up a lot)


I've always thought Citrine was like candy corn; white (clear) base, darker colors going up towards the top through yellow to orange....
or maybe I'm reversing the candy cane color order. Whatever. It reminds me of candy corn.

Diamonds come in multiple colors, but people think of the clear one when you say it
I think some of the other ones have different colors, but I think topaz and citrine are still yellow range

Meh, perceptions can be changed remarkably quickly when no one has an emotional investment at stake. Would only take the right ad or movie or meme and that'd shift.
