ha ha, I guess it won't matter until it comes up again, anyhow.
I am curious if these are models of real buildings?

If you mean Catzilla Town, not a clue
Tho Bobwhite Cottage is based off the house of the same name in Trixie Belden

Yes, I meant Catzilla Town.
Bobwhite Cottage is a fun name. Of course, I read it first as "bobcat cottage" (probably because of Catzilla) and was entertained by how apropos that was, but still.

Have you read any of Jasper Fforde's "Thursday Next" novels?
I loved this bit...
As the Cat grinned and blinked at me with his large green eyes I suddenly realized where I had seen him before.
"You're the Cheshire Cat, aren't you?" I asked.
"I was the Cheshire Cat," he replied with a slightly aggrieved air. "But they moved the county boundaries, so technically speaking I'm now the Unitary Authority of Warrington Cat."

Never heard of the author

It's basically a whole series of books built around lots of references to other books, and satire on politics, as far as I can tell.
Kind of like a slightly darker-humor version of Terry Pratchett? I guess? Terry Pratchett seems to excel at the silly, though; he addresses the darker subjects while still somehow maintaining a very light tone. Jasper Fforde is clearly humor but without quite that light-hearted tone. It's more like the later Vimes books where instead of being surrounded by people whose outlooks make a nice foil for Vimes' darkness, the protagonist is surrounded by people whose outlooks are just as dark, or more so.

Both of them are British humor writers who have some social commentary not-so-hidden in their works.
Terry Pratchett is MUCH more famous.
Also dead now, so there won't be any new works from him at this point.
I read too much, as you may have been able to pick up on. It's not really very important to anything, it's just that I was entertained by his reference to the Cheshire Cat, and you were indirectly commenting on the Cheshire Cat, so.... it seemed at least tangentially relevant and potentially amusing.
Are there authors you are fond of or do you not spend much time reading?
