I love your avatar Kitalpha!!! The purple looks so good with the rest and it's totally a way I'd do mine!!! Also, I use plum a lot as well, it's a very beautiful color!!! The purple shades are so perfect for aesthetics here!!!

You think white will be one of the recolored choices? I wonder which items it will be.... it would be lovely to get the snowy tree in the background in other shades of green! Or those really cute branched horns, they would be fun to get in some other shades, too!

Well, they show the neck bow and the colors are plum and white
The ribbon is from '16, I'm actually looking on my mule right now
So if all the items are '16 recolors, plum and white for the most part
The hair of the original is coffee, so we might get, say, ecru recolor
The main items of the original are maroon and white, and the recolors are indicating plum and white
The fireplace background also has emerald green as an accent color, so the recolor would be, oh, plum, white, and midnight blue
Those are my guesses, anyway. Chances are the accent colors I guessed are wrong, but we will see tomorrow

Okay I had completely missed the cue of the ribbon! I wonder if the colors are going to be consistent at all or if each recolor will go with a different theme and we'll get a rainbow effect?
Since the first candy cane looks like plum and white I think not, but it's an interesting thought.

I wonder if it's worth keeping track of which years all the items are from, as they are uncovered, to see if there's a pattern or they're all from '16 like your guess or if it's entirely random....

The cane's also a '16 recolor, so currently things are looking at '16 all being recolored for the calendar
