At least it wasn't blue screen of death.

Isn't the black screen the modern version of the blue screen of death, though?

That first article is full of terms and abbreviations I've never heard of. >.<
I gave up about the time it started talking about the red one, and didn't even try the other two.
It's sad when I can't even understand the explanations of problems, but honestly I just don't have time to sit down right now with tech books and learn this stuff. When I have the mental energy to be learning there are higher priorities at the moment (plumbing and remedial electric wiring top the list right now!)

basically blue screen of death still happens
in this case the black screen of death could be from the power cord or something else. Maybe there's a file gone that works with the power supply in making it run this this issue happens?

I'm really impressed that you followed it! Are you in a tech field and it's part of your work/studies, or are you just smart and keep up with tech terms because it's useful to know?

i recall river saying she is studying something related to IT? but i'm not sure
my old lappy conked on me after just 3 yrs which is preposterous, and i used it for all my college work. then when i went w my dad to survey the stores all the lappy prices had doubled or tripled in those 3 years. we wanted a windows lappy in my old one's budget, but there was nothing in my old one's budget except tablets, no computers. so we got a Mac even tho i'm used to thinking of Macs as luxuries, bc everything else was in the same range as a Mac (!!!) with no guarantees of even lasting me more than 3 yrs.
so my dad was like, i know you're used to windows, but let's get one we at least know will last for a bit

I'm doing cert 3 in Information, digital media and technology..
yeah I blame those getting bitcoin and other similar. Ram has gone up in price soo i think that pushed the price up on pc's
Tbh tablets are the new 'thing' even though they don't come with speakers from what I can gather, and no optical (though like a lot don't anyway now) and I think no audio port either which is stupid..

I have a tablet computer which is basically a tablet on which a keyboard can be de/attached. Super useful, can only recommend it! Then again it's just my uni laptop because it is small and therefore really handy.
I get the black screen sometimes on my bigger laptop. The Wikipedia article says it might have to do with overheating, which might indeed be true for mine.
