Aargh, it's so cold out and I have to take one of the Elders out. At least it is someone with a walker but I always get so nervous when it is this slippery. Stupid ice.

Oh no, how cold is it Akili?

We have mild weather again, it's about 9° Celsius!

there's no ice here atm, I can imagine how going outside with an elderly person can be scary but at least you're there to help o;

Actually, you're right in that it's not actually that *cold*, it's just that when it hovers around freezing, the snow melts and then the water freezes so we get a lot of ice, and worse yet is when it then snows again and new snow covers and hides the ice.

If it were REALLY cold, the snow would never melt and we wouldn't have ice, just snow. Which would be easier to manage!

Which means I'm complaining about the wrong thing. I shouldn't be fussing about the cold, I should be fussing just about the ice.

Anyhow we navigated around alright in the end.

my laptop battery died on me today, from one minute to the next D':
good thing I have savings for unexpected purchases but I really wasn't planning on getting a new laptop anytime soon :/

Wait why are you having to get a whole new laptop? Surely you can just replace the battery, if it's the battery that died?
